Count Your Blessings...
2010 was a year full of negativity in my life (events, attitudes, etc.) SO here's my New Years Resolution: Every day I will consciously be grateful for something. Positivity is what I need... Here's to hoping it works and 2011!

I am thankful for people who talk you down from ledges (metaphorically speaking). I tend to just go off without thinking about consequences and I have several people in my life who act as my '"Jimminy Cricket"s. Kat, Julie, Mom, and Cindy- Thank you for your services! I would be in a lot of trouble if it weren't for your sage counsel.

I am grateful that I get a brand-new beginning every 24 hours. I can change nothing that has occurred in the past but I get a new chance everyday to make my life, my choices, better.

Alright- with the flu almost gone and my brain finally coming out of the fog, I am so grateful for my husband who took care of Ella so I could stay in bed and rest. I am also thankful that my mother had some time off and was able to take care of Hall, who also ended up getting sick. She and Julie took good care of my little boy so it made it easier to rest and recuperate. Last, but not least, I am grateful to Betty and Howard III for feeding Howard and Ella the nights that I was unable to make dinner. I know Howard was tired after watching Ella all day and working so the fact that he could go next door and eat was nice.

I've been sick for the past 2 days but I wanted to post now that I can sit vertically...
I am grateful for Tylenol. It makes fevers go down and aches and pains go away. I am also extremely grateful for water for with out it, the Tylenol wouldn't go down as easily.

I am grateful for rainy days. I really, honestly love gray, overcast skies. The rain on the river is so beautiful- it looks like the river stops flowing to accept the new water. Rainy days are great sleeping weather... That is if you don't have children...

Plungers. I am eternally grateful to whomever invented them. Baby monitors are a thing of beauty as well. I love the fact that I can hear Ella wake up to greet the sun every morning with her cute little "hi!" and hear Hall as he scuttles around his room after we've put him to bed at night. Plungers and baby monitors...

I am so grateful for supportive family and friends. At the top of my list is my mother. She is always there for me, no matter what goes on. I have the greatest group of close friends that have my back, always. I don't think I express enough how important they are to me but they are truly a blessing.
